Jerry Barca, Consultant
Jerry Barca joined SDI in 2010. He comes to the company with more than a decade of experience working in media, communications, and journalism. Coming to SDI has allowed him to bring together his communication expertise with his extensive experience coaching and developing leadership.
Before working with SDI, Jerry served as the communications director for a high-profile New Jersey mayor. He has co-founded an entertainment company, which serves as the executive producer on the upcoming documentary on sports writer, editor and author George Plimpton.
Jerry is also an award-winning journalist whose work has appeared in New York-metro area publications. Before working as a journalist, he worked in athletic media relations for the University of Notre Dame and Syracuse University and in the National Football League with the Detroit Lions.
Jerry has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and master’s degree in newspaper journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and four children.
